作家コメント
線の集積が気流のような牧草地のような光景を見せていくことに心地よさと安らぎを覚える。それをまるで自室から遠くを眺めるように傍観している。

ディレクターコメント
高橋梓は、記憶をもとに主観的な視点をもって制作した鳥の図鑑や、近年では家具の木目、タイルや石畳、布の編み目など、日常の中で目にするものたちを観察し、組み合わせた抽象的なビジュアルの作品を制作してきた。

変化を続ける彼女の作品の根底に流れる共通したものとは、その独特な視座ではないだろうか。彼女の作品の中には、彼女の内面と現実との間の独特な距離感があり、絵の中での視座の移ろいが見えるのである。

例えば、鳥の図鑑を制作したリトグラフの一連の作品では、一般的な図鑑のように種を認識できるすべての要素を描くことは避け、シルエットや、森のどこかにいるその気配のようなものをとらえているように思える。それは彼女自身が実際に感じた鳥の姿であり、曖昧なその部分も含めて彼女の中に自然に立ち現れたイメージなのだろう。家具やタイルなどの無機質なものを描く際にも、それらの物体の本質とは彼女にとって明確ではなく、「それが一体何なのか」を探り、近づき、そして出来上がったものをまた一歩引いて観察する──そのような実験的な視座の行き来が垣間見える。
高橋の移ろいゆく視座に寄り添うと、何か発見があるかもしれない。

Artist's Comment
The accumulation of lines creates a landscape resembling an airflow or a pasture, evoking a sense of comfort and tranquility. I observe it as if gazing from my room into the distance.

Gallery Commentary
Takahashi Azusa has created works that embody a subjective perspective based on memory, including an illustrated bird book. In recent years, she has produced abstract visual compositions by observing and combining elements found in everyday life, such as wood grain on furniture, tiles and cobblestone patterns, and the woven textures of fabrics.

At the core of her ever-evolving work lies a distinctive viewpoint. Her paintings reveal a unique sense of distance between her inner world and reality, as well as the fluid shifts in perspective within her compositions.

For example, in her lithograph series depicting birds, she avoids illustrating every detail necessary to identify specific species, as one might find in a conventional field guide. Instead, she captures their silhouettes or the intangible presence of birds hidden somewhere within the forest. These images reflect the way she experiences birds in reality—emerging naturally in her mind, including the ambiguous and undefined aspects. Similarly, when she portrays inorganic objects like furniture or tiles, their essence remains elusive to her. She engages in an ongoing process of exploration—questioning what they truly are, drawing them closer, then stepping back once more to observe the completed work from a detached perspective. This oscillation between proximity and distance reveals an experimental approach to perception.

By following Takahashi's ever-shifting perspective, one may discover something new.
